Convenience Store Safety

Ordinance comes before city council for first reading on 2/19/09. We should pass this on March 5th.

City Council will hold a workshop at my request to discuss a potential ordinance to require convenience stores to follow the proven anti-crime tactics such as keeping the windows visable to make it more difficult to
rob and kill the operators without witnesses seeing the crime and calling
the police. The legal department and police department will participate
in developing the ordinance.
